Want to get an idea about the size and feel of the iPad without paying for the actual device? Here’s a way to make an iPad from cardboard in the same size of the original iPad. That way you can fool your friends or just pretend you have an iPad. It only costs you 30 minutes of your free time.

Jess Silverstone from Revolutionary Concepts has made one and you’ll be able to make one as well by printing the drawing. You glue the ends together and display it on your desktop to get a pretty good idea of the size of the device.

The cutout has two parts (one 664KB front and one 377KB rear) that can be printed on a standard A4 format. The size of the iPad is 9.56 inches x 7.47 inches x 0.5 inches so it should fit on a normal A4 paper.

If you have a large printer you might want to go for the A3 version: iPad cutout A3.
