Condé Nast has made an interface for the Apple Tablet. Costé Nast is a magazine publisher and is apparently preparing itself for the Apple Tablet which, they believe, will be launched pretty soon. Costé Nast has bundled powers with Adobe to create a mock-up interface for the still unannounced Apple Tablet.

“Condé’s plan, meanwhile, is to create digital versions of its magazines that will work on all the upcoming tablets, using new software from Adobe (ADBE). Those tablets aren’t actually on the market yet, but the publisher says it’s confident that we’’ll soon see multiple versions of machines featuring large color touchscreens and wireless connections.”

The company says they have no knowledge about the Apple Tablet, but they are expecting Apple to launch such a device soon. Earlier reports also said The New York Times is approached by Apple to start working on producing content for the device.

I can’t believe this. So many rumors, so many people saying that the Tablet will arrive in the first quarter of 2010. And now a new report suggests that the mythical tablet computer from Apple is going to be released in the second quarter of 2010. And why? Because Apple decided to use other parts for the production of the tablet.

According to this report (still a rumor since the device has not even been officially announced yet) Apple wants to come with a more expensive 9,7-inch version of the tablet that uses an OLED-screen from LG. The cheaper version of the device will get a bigger TFT-screen that measures 10,6-inches. Anonymous sources say that the OLED-screens are part of a 5 year deal between Apple and LG, worth $500 million. OLED-screens are very expensive at the moment. A 9,7-inch OLED-screen costs about $500 right now.

The price of the more expensive edition of the Apple Tablet will then increase to an astronomical $2000, if it is released in the second half of 2010. The price could eventually be lower when it is combined with a 3G contract. The cheaper version of the tablet device will be around $800 to $1000.

I don’t get it. Why change parts at the last moment? And why launch two version of the Apple Tablet that are practically the same, when the only difference is the screen? Just give us what everybody wants. Or maybe it’s a strategy to see how bad everyone wants the Apple Tablet. With all the rumors appearing on the Internet lately, I can’t believe Apple really wants to delay the launch of one of the most rumored devices ever.

A new rumors suggest that the Apple Tablet will probably have a high-end graphics card to produce picture with a stunning resolution. CNNMoney.com spoke to a couple of analysts about the unannounced tablet device. Most analysts say the tablet computer will probably be a device with numerous capabilities to eliminate the need of multiple devices.

“If the rumors are true, the tablet will be able to do basically everything a gadget could possibly do. It’s an e-reader, a gaming device, and a music player. You can watch TV and movies on it and surf the Internet (or so we’ve heard). And it will have thousands of third-party apps available for it … or maybe it will run Mac OS X. That’s all still unknown.”

The reports also talks about things we’ve heard before. The device will have a price point ranging from $600 to $1000, have an integrated webcam and there will be multiple models with and without 3G connectivity. Below is another positive reaction from one of the analysts:

“The Tablet will be awesome, and my guess is that it will be an instant hit for people who loved Kindles and people who want netbooks,” said David Wertheimer, executive director of Carnegie Mellon’s Entertainment Technology Center. Wertheimer said he finds it hard to comprehend how the tablet will replace all other on-the-go tech products. “But then again, what I can’t imagine, Steve Jobs often can,” he added.

Some people are less excited:

“What we’ve found in the past with these multi-function devices is that they’re better for ad-hoc purposes, like quick and dirty tasks,” said Zeus Kerravala, an analyst with Yankee Group. “They’re not for any prolonged, high-performance use.”

Another analyst, Laura DiDio with ITIC, provided supposed specifics on the hardware. The device will sport high-end graphics card, according to Laura. The stunning resolution that will be offered will be greater then the iPhone and iPod touch. There will probably also be several different models. The 3G-enabled version would be tied to a contract with a wireless carrier such as AT&T. The model with a Webcam will allow simple mobile video conferencing, suggesting the tablet would have an education edition geared towards schools.

“Any time Steve Jobs gets on stage, the expectations are incredibly high, but they are especially lofty for the tablet,” the report said. “Analysts and investors are saying that this device could revolutionize the handheld world in the same way the the iPhone changed the smartphone market.”

Personally, if I read these reports, I get very very very excited. If this fills a supposed void between the iPhone and a low-end MacBook then the Apple Tablet could really be device that enables you to do games, watch videos, listen to music, use the internet and even chat with people around the world with the webcam. It practically becomes a devices that can do everything, anytime, anywhere.

Are you getting excited as well?

It’s exciting to read about news about the tablet computer. Slowly but steadily more and more rumors are showing up on the internet. People start to talk about the Apple device more and more as well and even important persons talk about the Tablet as if they know the device will be among us pretty soon. And if that’s not enough, a leaked photo from a simtray suggests it could be from the iPhone 4G or possible from the iTablet.

The simtray on the photo above could be a part of the Apple tablet computer. The website ChinaOntrade.com claims the simtray could be a “Apple iTablet iPhone 4 Generation SIM Tray” and that the device will be manufactured by Foxconn. (Hey we know about a rumor suggesting Foxconn will be the manufacturer of the iTablet). The simtray will cost $14 and the website will be selling the tray in a few days. Several website are now trying to figure out how the device will look like by closely looking at the form of the tray. It is bigger and therefor could be for a bigger device, but it is still not entirely sure if it is just an accessory or a real part of a new Apple product.

We’ve heard news about Apple planning to revolutionize the way we read papers and about a possible deal with The New York Times to bring interactive content to the tablet device making it some sort of an e-reader. Although almost all news about the Apple tablet computer are rumors and cannot be verified as 100% true, we now hear The New York Times executive editor Bill Keller speak about the “impending Apple slate”. It is unclear weather Keller has knowledge about Apple’s plans to bring a tablet computer on the market or that he just believes the rumors floating around the web and assumes the tablet will be released soon.

This is what Bill Keller says during his presentation:

“I’m hoping we can get the newsroom more actively involved in the challenge of delivering our best journalism in the form of Times Reader, iPhone apps, WAP, or the impending Apple slate, or whatever comes after that.”

The Nieman Journalism Lab at Harvard University has published comments on and a video of the speech, which was reportedly meant to be an “off the record” presentation. Keller’s comment on Apple’s tablet occurs approximately 8:15 into the video. (not viewable on the iPhone or iPod touch)
