For some time now, there have been questions about wether the Apple Tablet will run iPhone OS or Mac OS X. A new report claims it has received information about the device and its operating system.
- The tablet’s multi-touch gestures are “out of control.”
– It’s powered by an incredibly fast ARM CPU
– It runs on the iPhone kernel.
– The internal model number is K48AP.
– There hasn’t been an updated iPhone OS build because there’s too much tablet-related code/references in the OS and Apple obviously didn’t want that to leak. Oops.
– The tablet is basically an “iPhone on steroids.”
What do they mean with “out of control”? A recent report said the interface of the tablet is hard to learn. Maybe the users do indeed need a small course to learn the multi-touch gestures of the device.
I like the ARM CPU claim. With a fast processor you can also run software that requires more power, like Photoshop for instance. A fast CPU can also mean the device can run a version of Mac OS X instead of the iPhone OS.
Less then two weeks to go and we’ll know for certain.
