GumBallTech reports about the iPad being able to make emergency calls. If you dial the wrong password 5 times in a row, a slider for an emergency call appears (shown in the first picture below). If you slide you go to a screen which allows you to make a phone call (second picture below). The emergency phone call screen looks the one of the iPhone but with bigger buttons and a centered number pad.
Apple has not given any clue if the iPad is capable of making phone calls, but they might allow VoIP applications like Skype. Together with a bluetooth headset the iPad could very well be capable of making calls. Unfortunately, since the this functionality was discovered in the iPad Simulator, GumBallTech was unable to try out the call functions.

9to5Mac has yet again found some details about the iPad SDK. They found the settings for internet tethering, voice mail, and MMS settings. They also found a search option for Wikipedia. For a closer look at these details take a look at the video below:
