iPad Pre-Orders Starting Next Week? [Rumour]

Still 35 days to go till the iPad is launched in the stores, but pre-orders might begin one month before the release. AppAdvice claims the iPad pre-orders could start as early as February 25th. The pre-orders seem to be only for the U.S. Wi-Fi version of the iPad, but Apple hasn’t given any indication about pre-orders or an exact launch date. The only thing we know is the fact that Steve Jobs said the Wi-Fi version will be shipping in 60 days, which means the launch date is somewhere in the last week of March.

The iPad must also get FCC approval before Apple can start shipping the product. At the same time AppAdvice is not a very reliable source as they previously claimed the iPhone 3GS would have an OLED screen and FM transmitter, which we all know it didn’t get. The only thing people can do is subscribing for a newsletter to get the latest information about the iPad.

As the launch date slowly approaches, there will definitely be more information about the iPad. For instance, will the applications like weather, clock and stocks be on the iPad? And maybe there are some unannounced features showing up in the iPad simulator. The next few weeks will be exciting.
