As the title suggests the game has some familiarity to it, since it combines the line drawing feature of Flight Control with the colorfulness of Super 7. The gameplay area is the water in which you’ll see orange and blue Globs. Globs of the same color need to be connected with each other by drawing a line. If they touch each other they’ll form a bigger Glob. By combining to bigger Globs of the same color you’ll earn more points and those Globs will disappear.

Blue and orange are not allowed to touch each other, but a green Glob can touch both colors. If orange and blue Globs are combined, you will loose one of three lives. After loosing all three lives, the game is over. The goal is to constantly try to make a new record a become the best of the world, since you scores will be submitted to OpenFeint. Another very addictive game for the iPad and it’s cheap as well.

Both multiplayer modes are very addictive and fun. It really adds to the excitement of the game as you really want to win. That’s what makes this HD version a lot of fun. You have different colored swords, lots of fruit, multiplayer modes, and two single player modes. All future updates will be free, but Fruit Ninja HD already seems to be a very complete game. The only downside: the price. With $4,99 I think this game is a bit overpriced. I think with the addition of multiplayer and the HD graphics it’s worth tree times the price of the iPhone version. So $2,99 should be a better price tag. If you think the price is too high, wait till there’s a game sale. Otherwise buy the game as fast as you can.

Set on an island somewhere on Earth, about six little Pygmies walk around on a ridiculously small island. With just one tree, some coconuts, a statue and lots of water, one might think ‘why the *bleep* did I buy this game‘? The 1.0 version of Pocket God enabled users to grab the Pygmies and toss them around. You could drown them and flick them into a volcano or feed them to a hungry shark. With each update (one every week) users got more ways to torture the cute islanders. At first the app wasn’t really a game, but with the latest few updates the developers added a handful of mini-games. Even Doodle the Doodler is present. And the game is no longer set on one island, but several, including an ice island, and a graveyard.

Lately updates seem to be coming less frequent, frustrating many of the large fan club. Sales, however, seem to suggest the game is doing just fine. With 440.000 in-app purchases together with the more then 3 million downloads of the game, the developers have earned almost 2 million dollars. And it doesn’t stop there.

This fall, Pocket God for iPad will be released. But it won’t be an HD version of the iPhone game, Dave Castelnuovo told CNN.

“I don’t really believe in taking an existing title and cranking out an exact same clone of the game on every different console out there. If we have a really hardcore fan that has it on both iPad and iPhone, we want them to have a different experience.”

The humor will stay the same, the art will stay the same. The chapters and mini-games will be totally different. The first title will be called ‘Journey to Uranus’. The screenshots in this article are from the iPad version of Pocket God (click on them to see a larger version). There will also be a comic book real soon and a new update of Pocket God for the iPhone. The official launch day isn’t set yet, but according to Bolt Creative, it should arrive this fall. TowerMadness HD is an open-field or fixed-path tower defense game where you can create your own path to defend off the enemies (Aliens) from reaching your base (herd of sheep). The game has full 3D graphics with pinch-to-zoom capabilities to view the game from any angle, all the way down to first-person viewing of the action.

The most unique feature of the game is the multiplayer system. The HD version will come with a split-screen multiplayer mode. You can play against another human player on the same iPad, because the game splits the screen in two, offering one half of the screen to each player. Each player sees the same map and will be fighting the same waves of incoming enemies. This allows each player to have their own strategy.

You can send in waves early to make it harder for your opponent. If you have a good defense and you think your opponent doesn’t, you can use that strategy to overload your opponent with aliens. Be careful though, because the same waves will enter your map as well, so you really have to be confident enough to use this option.

Another cool feature is the ‘Panic Your Opponent’ feature. Using this feature will cause the aliens to accelerate on your opponent’s side for a few seconds. This can mean the difference of winning or loosing the game. You can also summon a character called ‘Robosteal’. This character will travel down your opponent’s path and steal a sheep if he reaches them. The sheep will then be added to your own collection of sheep.
