Cheng Uei Precision Industry has received an order for “connectors” for Apple’s new Tablet PCs. This claim is coming from the Taiwan’s Economic Daily paper. The reports says the company is likely to begin shipping in the 3rd quarter of 2010.
Another reports, from Digitimes this time, claims that Innolux, a panel-making sibsidiary of Foxconn, will be the supplier of the touch panels in Apple’s Tablet PC. The size of the screens will probably be 10-inches.
These reports add to the large amount of rumors showing up lately. It seems the Apple Tablet is really coming now. With an announcement in January and a release somewhere in the 3rd quarter. I still hope the device will be launched earlier in 2010 and not in the 3rd quarter of that year.
